this every other day is getting to be a habit. I need to break that. Today I spent all day working on my picture project for my house. my uncle David only hangs his own pictures in his house. None are the same size or the same frames but they are all pictures he took. I love that idea and ever since I saw Uncle Davids house, I've always wanted to do that. So I have begun..... its still a work in progress but its progressing.... :-)

I actually have a window frame that is supposed to go under this wording "dream" so it looks like you are looking out a window, but the size picture I ordered is not big enough to fit in the window frame. So this is temporarily placed here until I get the right size picture for the window.

Some of these have been hanging in my house for a while, but I added a few.  Eventually all my walls will be full of my photos.  :-)



this is the hallway going up the stairs to the 2nd floor.  It will eventually be full as well.  :-)

Missed another day.... Anyways, for the past 2 days my stairs have been solid ice because the sun never hits them.  My neighbor has been scared that i'm going to fall and bust my head open soon... and I almost did a few times.  I'm too cheap to go out and buy salt, so I dumped potting soil that was in my storage shed all over my steps.  It doesn't look pretty but it works.  :-)

I missed a day.... oops.  Anyways, today, or should I say last night we had an ice storm.  In fact, its still nasty outside.  I rolled my truck on ice back in 2000 and felt it was not worth risking my life to go to work.  So I called in sick and spent all day in my pajamas by the fire watching movies, playing on facebook, and reading my book.  Very unproductive day but very much relaxing.  :-)

So this may be cheating but technically it was Sunday when I took this picture.... and we closed down snookers with my tournament at 2am last night!   I'm just so happy with all the support I got for this tournament.  I put a lot of time and effort into promoting this and trying to get people to play!

The Parable project scotch doubles tournament was today.... all day, all night!  It was a great success - I raised $774 !  I am thankful for everyone that came out to support me.

Friday!!!    I know I skipped a day... forgot to take a picture yesterday.  Anyways, its funny the difference between the people that drink coffee verses the ones that drink soda.  My office provides both for free.  When we run out of soda, I never know because no one tells me.  But when we run out of coffee, watch out.  It's like the place is gonna burn down!  This is what I had on my monitor at work when I arrived Friday morning....

So after draining my account yesterday to pay a ticket, what better way to start the new year then learning how to take control of your finances!  I'm attending Dave Ramseys Financial Peace University class.  It is every Wednesday for 3 months.  Hopefully I will learn a lot.  :-)

Today I had to drive to Sussex, VA to go to court for my ticket I got back in October.  I decided to go to court because I haven't had a ticket since I was 19 and wanted it dropped.... After a few hours of driving, the judge reduced my ticket to speeding 9 miles over the speed limit and charged me $261.   yay.  So now I'm broke.  Don't speed... its not worth it.  :-(

Work.  Got to work this morning to a floor full of water in the break room.  A water bottle had leaked all over so after mopping up the floor (with paper towels - we don't actually have a mop.) I replaced the water bottle on the cooler only to have no water come out of the cooler... of course I have no picture documentation of any of this.  I imagine I will get better as the days and months go on with this picture a day thing.... but until then my pictures are not going to be too great.  So now that I'm home, I'm lazy again.  (this is typical of me when I'm home unless I have to go somewhere) I did decide to reorganize my books.... i like the authors to be together.  In the process, I realized that I have 10 books that are doubles!  Have to take those in for store credit at readers corner.  :-)

Sunday.  Went to church, had my last coffee for the next 21 days, had late lunch with my friends Pavun and Brian, then was lazy the rest of the day.  I forgot to take pictures of the exciting stuff... but I did watch Top Gun which is a definite classic!  I loved Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer in this movie! 

2011 - New Year - New Me!

So I've tried this before and as you can see from previous posts have failed.  So let's see how far I can make it this year.  A picture a day for 365 days!   I'm off to a good start.....
