Today I met up with my best friend JJ and the rest of her clan.  We have begun the first day of the Stock Show!  Time for cowboys and horses :-)   We walked around the booths before the first show.... they had a minivan you could write on so Dillen signed his name

So I missed a few days this month.... I'm going to make up for it today.  I did a lot today :-)  My dad lives in a corner apartment on the 7th floor... this was the view this morning....

As I mentioned before, my dad has no food in his house, so we had to go out for breakfast.  After breakfast we did our favorite thing and went for coffee.  (wow I used to tell my grandpa I would never go have coffee for fun, now I do it all the time... I must be getting old :-) 

My dad actually has a job so he had some work he had to get done....

So I had the day to explore downtown Denver.  I went to the Browns Palace, Denver Art Museum, and walked by the capital building.  After I spent all afternoon looking at art and walking all over downtown, I got back my dad had already planned the evening.  But first, we had a side trip I wanted to go to.... Coyote Ugly.  Yes the same kind as the movie.  It was not too busy when we went there since it was around 4pm so we just had a beer, played some college drinking game with the bartender, and of course I got on the bar just so I could say I did!  

My dad wasn't allowed to get on the bar, but I took his picture too.... 

 

After Coyote Ugly, we went to a fondue place (can't remember whats it called)  but it was really good!  Then we went to a burlesque comedy show!  It was good... not Vegas but still good. 

 

They even got me on stage to do some dancing with some others from the audience....

I flew to Colorado today.  I plan on spending most of my time with my best friend JJ at the National Western Stock Show.  When I arrived this morning the weather was great.... now its cold and snowing.  On a good note, my dad lives around the corner from 16th Street Mall.  My dad has no food in his house so we had to go find some place to eat in the cold streets.....

this every other day is getting to be a habit. I need to break that. Today I spent all day working on my picture project for my house. my uncle David only hangs his own pictures in his house. None are the same size or the same frames but they are all pictures he took. I love that idea and ever since I saw Uncle Davids house, I've always wanted to do that. So I have begun..... its still a work in progress but its progressing.... :-)

I actually have a window frame that is supposed to go under this wording "dream" so it looks like you are looking out a window, but the size picture I ordered is not big enough to fit in the window frame. So this is temporarily placed here until I get the right size picture for the window.

Some of these have been hanging in my house for a while, but I added a few.  Eventually all my walls will be full of my photos.  :-)

Missed another day.... Anyways, for the past 2 days my stairs have been solid ice because the sun never hits them.  My neighbor has been scared that i'm going to fall and bust my head open soon... and I almost did a few times.  I'm too cheap to go out and buy salt, so I dumped potting soil that was in my storage shed all over my steps.  It doesn't look pretty but it works.  :-)

I missed a day.... oops.  Anyways, today, or should I say last night we had an ice storm.  In fact, its still nasty outside.  I rolled my truck on ice back in 2000 and felt it was not worth risking my life to go to work.  So I called in sick and spent all day in my pajamas by the fire watching movies, playing on facebook, and reading my book.  Very unproductive day but very much relaxing.  :-)

So this may be cheating but technically it was Sunday when I took this picture.... and we closed down snookers with my tournament at 2am last night!   I'm just so happy with all the support I got for this tournament.  I put a lot of time and effort into promoting this and trying to get people to play!
